After Tamarind Hill, we‘re having a hard time finding any other Indian restaurant we can enjoy. We have been regulars since it‘s beginning. And even moving out of town could stop us from coming back time and again. Why? Food and ambiente are best far and wide, and service is always friendly and fast.
I love the food, I love the staff and the atmosphere. The food is always delicious. The mango lassi is on another level. I am very lucky to have found this place.
The menu is imaginative blending a choice of standard curries with some exciting regional variations. I went for the Nilgiri Prawn and Fish curry - excellent succulent large chunks of tender fish and a generous number of king prawns. The sauce was exquisitely balanced with an exciting tussle between sweet and sharp. The whole party enjoyed this feast. The presentation is creative and well thought through. A good range of drinks, including draft beers and a sensible choice of wines - the Chilean Merlot was particularly good. There is parking directly in front of the restaurant and a tram stop only 50 yards away. It is a short walk from Oerlikon railway station. Do visit - you will not be disappointed.
